A British-American with Italian roots and a desire to naturalize as French, Sean is currently a student at Paris 8 University completing his Masters Degree on the track "Scènes du monde, histoire et création".

As the Artistic Director of his own theatre company, Summertide, Sean's artistic practice revolves around the representations of gender on stage through a transcultural lens through the usage of employing multiple languages on stage.

Sean focused his analysis on the positioning of the conference participants with relation to the “Other” in question, notably in his post “Conference on *White* Theater Studies”.

For the 2019-2020 edition he hopes to pursue and develop his analyses of the ecology of the conference itself, focusing on the following issues:

1. A cross-national inquiry into working conditions of theatre studies practitioners as French academics protest increasingly precarious working conditions.

2. Commentary on the harmonies and dissonances evoked by having a conference on Theatre Studies attached to a theatrical festival (VIE Festival).

3. A deeper examination of the intersectional questions evoked in 2018 regarding representation at the heart of the Theatre Research Community present.
